Aims: The studies of this condition showed that it is the major cause of fetus loss or death of the newborn babies. The purpose of this article is to permit us identify when the disease is appearing during the pregnancy of the women, how to prevent it and to know the treatment when Erythroblastosis Fetalis is present on the newborn.
Methods: The studies were made at 2008 in United Estates and Europe. The investigation took five years, which many healthcare professionals worked hard in important hospitals of these countries, it has made to identify the incidence of this condition. The professionals analyzed all the causes of the fetus loss, through the blood tests to the mother and the fetus who had died. These tests showed that the blood type of both were incompatibility between, and this is the only cause of this disease. And the newborns presente symptoms that are releat with the Erytrhoblastosis Fetalis
Results: The incidence of this condition is to high, 5/1000 fetus loss, and in death of newborns babies it is of 10/1000. The principal cause is the incompatibility of the blood type, which the mother generate antibodies against the red blood cells, and it generates that is has been destroyed, producing a severe anemia.
Conclusion: The best form to prevent the disease is through an exam of blood. It also can be prevented if the mother takes a medicine called RhoGAM at certain times during and after pregnancy.
